And So It Goes...

Australian Prime Minster John Howard recently stated that the Australians don't support gay marriage. And from the gay activists' camp, the response was... well, it was incoherent. As David Schamel from the Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby lobby put it, "Given that both Labor and Liberal say that they don't support gay marriage, I don't think it's likely to happen anytime soon, but that doesn't mean he is in touch with what Australians want."

Ok there Davey, if you say so. It must be the conservatives who are champioing gay marriage in Australia then. Right. Much like how the American people actually suport gay marriage, which is why only a few backwoods states like Alabama have enacted Marriage Protection Ammendments. We just happen to live in a nation which has over 20 such backwoods states. Oh, yeah, and progressive Oregon and liberal Michigan, too. Well, at least all of the left-leaning states on the east coast have decided that homosexual couples can get married. Well, that is, if we exclude New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Now then, we all know that the only reason why people oppose gay marriages is hate. Those hateful fundamentalists, they just can't abide the idea of non-traditional marriage. Nor can the Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Baptists, evangelicals in general, Mormons, Muslims, Orthodox Jews, and the Ayn Rand accolytes among the objectivist movement. But we all know that these people are simply trying to force their beliefs on society. Why should they have any say in the laws enacted by our society? Oh, no, no, no, Catholic Charities of Boston was just an isolated incident, and they got just what they deserved-- how dare they refuse to place children with same-sex couples. The gay movement hasn't harmed anybody.
